Introduction
"This WAS fine" is a zany sandbox game where you can unleash chaos. Explore the various possibilities offered by this enclosed universe to bring your destructive wishes to life.
Take on the role of the hand of a higher entity and interact directly with a responsive, organic environment. Disrupt the routine of characters using numerous tools such as objects and buttons, creating multiple chain reactions that can lead to various catastrophes.
We are basing our project on “The City That Did Not Exist” by Grégory Chatonsky. Through his works, which encompass two versions of the city of Le Havre, we observed two states of the system and a sort of transition. These elements inspired us to create an environment capable of evolving, a play space with which the player can experiment. Thanks to the creations of our AIs, we decided to design an organic environment in a closed system, thus creating a true ecosystem.
